July 30-31, 2015
Council for Health and Development, together with fellow Community-Based Health Programs, Health Empowerment and Action in Leyte and Samar and Negros Island Health Integrated Program (Nihip Cbhp Negros), participated in the International People’s Mining Conference 2015.
In the conference, the participants learned more of the global trends in mining, intensified plunder of trans-national companies, human rights violations committed on the indigenous people in these areas, and more.
The health sector expresses its full-support in the campaigns and struggles of the international community in defense of its rights, the environment, and a progressive future for the people.
Long-live international solidarity!
